When will people learn that KAWI ULTRA platforms are about rough water capabilities , and NO other ski is like it in this area , so why do people want to try and make it something that it so plainly obviously not designed for ( flat water speed ) yes you can make one get better top end speeds , but the question then is why did you waste your money buying a rough water ski in the 1st place...
Its a proven 75mph ski , leave it there and enjoy the fact that ALL the others wont be beside you when things chop up.

for one of races river its easy to get some temporary gains , but the ski will loose so many of the other attributes if you left the same setup for the ocean

Who said anything about flat water speed only? It's this kind of negative thinking that has held the Kawi platform back. Think outside the box!
ALL areas can be improved... or I could be wrong about all of it. I'm willing to waste a ton of money in custom one off billet parts just to try my theories to figure it all out because I'm pretty certain I can make improvements.... and if not, oh well at least I have tried and learned something in the process.

Welcome to the green side. If a certain few haven't done it, it can't/shouldn't be done or is a bad idea....

Yes, I've been hearing about this sort of mentality in here. It's a shame. Sharing of information, discussing ideas, and trying new things is what helps us to achieve higher performance levels on these skis.

    Jerry,

Thanks for being willing to take on this project. I know you would not do this if you didn't think you could improve the overall performance of the 300. I don't think anyone here owns a 300 hoping for top speed performance. But if you can designate pump that maintains or increased hook-up & gain a couple mph, that would be wonderful.

Fessing up from Thailand jerry i have always ran the wedge I'm sure it's 2deg and the tbm winged cone and the 14/21 solas my ski has always pulled away harder and more easily than others skis without these products. For me the gains have been there even the drivability from corners, it all comes down to nozzle set up, in my opinion when the wedge is fitted.
