Hey Jerry and you Finger throttle guys.
Hey, Jerry and everyone, I am thinking of getting a finger throttle for the RXP as I have them on my other skis. I haven't got one yet as I didn't want it to look bad. Did you like your PPG Finger throttle? I think I like them better than the Riva. As PPG's seams to look more stock. Just not sure on the the way they cut it! And if it looks nice.
There is a Riva unit on ebay now with no bar extensions. So I was looking at it. Yea I probably just shot myself in the foot as everyone will look at it now.
What are your thoughts? On them both.

I had the PPG finger throttle, but the Riva one is MUCH better and more stock looking.
By all means spend the money and get the Riva bar extensions/finger throttle kit. Worth every penny!

The bar extensions are very worthwhile. All the SD 4-tecs have bars that are only suited for straight ahead travel. They don't have enough length to provide the leverage needed to make quick turns easily. When I had the opportunity to try a proto type RXP back in 2003, the short bars were my major complaint (besides the wet ride in chop). Nothing was done by the factory to correct either of these problems. The bar extensions that come with the Riva finger throttle are sorely needed.

Yea, I hope everyone here lets me bid on it in peace.
So I don't have to pay to much for it.

Word of advice..... i originally put just a finger throttle on and quickly discovered that it really sucks without extending the bars. There just isnt enough room on the handlebar after you add the finger throttle.

Crap Jerry, I new you were gonna say that.
I guess I might wait. cause I ain't got no $170-$180 to get the full thing
now.

I would honestly say it's worth waiting for. Once the finger throttle is on there is no more room on the bars. They must have the extension to make everything fit/feel right.
My favorite mod on my ski was the lengthened bars and finger throttle until i got the UMI. Now i LOVE my UMI setup

Yea, I have the PPG extensions on my 96xp and 03di. They are nice, but I was thinking I could get away without it, but I guess not.
Oh well I can make my extensions. I did it for the Di. I took the PPG's off and went with my own welded stock bars to keep the stock grips.
I might just do that again with this riva throttle!

You could send it to skat-trak and they can fix the impeller damage along...
