Handlebar Extensions & OEM cover fitment
Just browsing through real real old topics discussed on this forum back in the day. And i came across something that i had wanted to do that slipped my mind... Two2Corrupts suggestion of cutting pipe and extending the handlebars.
This can be found in the IMPORTANT RXP INFORMATION forum...
what i'm curious to know is, Those of you that DOO have the handlebar extensions, does your cover still fit on or no?
I've heard conflicting stories about this, or maybe it's bc PPG makes a longer extension than Riva maybe? I wanna max out my extensions while still being able to fit my cover on the RXT.

Handlebar extensions
I made my own extensions (about 2" on each end). I then cut two 2" diameter holes in my cover and stitched around them and then put a bead of goop over the stitching to keep the fabric from unraveling. Works great. All you can see sticking out of the cover are the black ends of the handlebar grips.

Shib: I have the Riva finger throttle/bar extensions and the stock cover does not fit. I have the yellow/black cover. My buddy has the new black cover and his does not fit either. A small slit on one side does the trick.

I hear if you put the cover over the bars first then over the bow and transom, it will fit.

well as it stands now all stock... that's the only way i can get the black skeleton cover on my RXT.... thing is real tight... i'll experiment and see how much i can extend the bars and still ave the cover fit bc i'm personally opposed to slitting my cover
