    Hello, I have an 08 GP1300R, and alost same set-up mods. I just purchased the 14/20 that Riva Stage I calls for. Let me know how you make out this is my 1st GP1300R also.

    Jetdave56, Its me ... the guy from Ozarks. I also plan about same mods no engine changes at this time I di get the 14/20 Solas ... what I want to know, is did you do the Reflash because of your engine mods ? I mean should we be doing the reflash with the Riva I or II ?

    R&D will reflash your ECU whether its a stock ski or ported.. give Glenn a call over there and discuss you ski and what you want to obtain.. for ex.if you have a 3-4 * keyway for advance timing already you MUST let them know...I got a basic level R3 reflash which I did before porting..They will advance the spark timing like a keyway, they will improve the fuel curve, the GPR runs a little lean in the 5000-6000 rpm range so you will definitly feel the difference...with a 14/22 and porting is when I picked up 2-3 miles on top...

    you can install that 14/20 you just got and its going to kill the engine , you will be running around 6500 rpms and no speed anywhere. need to increase compression if you want to run the 14/20. the re flash will not help you run that prop.

    Sure.. a rider must know his RPMs in normal riding and weather conditions before he moves on to a steeper prop...but Impros recommends for slightly modified engines...Rivas been selling them for the new 155MM pump since it came out in 05..stock or modified..nobody on GH that I read or recall blew an a stock engine from having the steeper 14/20...if you ride in a hot climate that could be issue...if his stock RPMs are between regularly 7000-7200 he's gonna be ok..gotta get a tach

    i never mention he was going to blow the engine,it just no going to have any power on any range.
    time and test will tell .

    I've got a Riva efi controller and 4* key if you decide to go that route.its the old style efi cont, the good one.

    Thumbs up solas comparison for stock motor

    I am deciding on purchasing the solas 13/19 for my 06gpr1300 anyone ever run the 13/20 with sock motor successfully the post on ebay says this is new riva set back solas 13/20
    ?

    IIRC the 13/19 was stock for 1200r's. The 13/20 was stock for the 1300r's. Pitching it to 14 on the front side will diminish your holeshot a little. You should be fine with the 14/20. Before modding the boat make sure the engine is fresh. Many a mod has killed a less than 100% motor.

    thanks for getting back to me, so you recommend the 13/20 setback i found on ebay new, over the regular 13/19 for a stock 06gpr1300
