I installed a bilge pump in the rear section last nite. I teed into the foot area drain line like I did on the right (Starboard) side for the engine cooling exit line. It's set up to work off a float instead of the auto-system. I used the FX 140 indicator assembly so one can see water coming out the rear and onto the deck when on. I also installed the factory step-ladder... Done. I think it'll be sold tomorrow...

WARNING!! Don't put the engine water into the T and thru the scupper line.... I found out that the hot water can come back up thru the scupper and you then have Hot Feet! I re-routed it to a thru hull fitting in the back by the scupper thru hull fitting.

Well, this may close out this post as the SUV is sold, but I wanted to make one more modification to an earlier install. The cooling line from the engine was Teed into the platform scupper line. It allowed hot water from the engine to creep up into the foot-well. I moved the line to the rear, by the scupper thru-hull fitting. Make sure you position it strategically so it doesn't directly hit the scupper line. Mine is very close, but works. I plugged the tee.

    Great news about the sale.
Sometimes hot feet could be a good thing. You might be on to something with this discovery. I am thinking that in someone who lives in cold areas could add a two way valve from the engine discharge so that in cold weather you could send the engine discharge to the scuppers and in warm weather you could send the engine discharge to a through a through-hull fitting.
This would be a jet ski with a personal heater.

Going through your build thread, as I am in the process of converting my ski, what is the water box you used so that you didn't have to cut and weld the pipes?

Call Dave - 561-352-3278 to see if he can still get the aftermarket one I used. He has them made up for other applications, but it worked for me. He'll know what your talking about.

The SUV trailed off with it's new owner tonight... It's a bittersweet as my Frankenstein is now gone.... Time to restore my 70 Chevelle now.... If you need info on the build, I'll respond faster if you PM me..
