You have to have a kawi lanyard they are a little wider in the slot than the Yami ones. I bought a universal lanyard that had three different sizes on it, I just cut the two off that I didn't need.

Would this work? i think the lanyard goes under the red stop button. Experts, feel free to chime in here.

And, Just so you know with a little grinding on the Yami start stop switch on the inner diameter you can make it fit the bars I have done it many times.

That's fine with me. I need a new one anyway.

I will try again, but I don't think I have enough real estate between my quick trim and the curve in the bar to do that. Also, it doesn't close all the way. Maybe silicone it?

It closes all the way if you do some grinding inside the diameter. no need to silicone it, the switch is sealed the shell is not a seal.

It hits my steering head mount on the bottom. Top doesn't have enough room before the curve. My bars are 31". Probably the reason.

It looks like you have already worked it out, but this is what i did on mine. I wanted to run a full size set of odi grips on both sides of the bars and don't like a real wide bar setup so i made a 4mm thick aluminium spacer plate to go over the stock steering plate. Then i got a pair of 40mm rise bar mount clamps and re drilled the aluminium spacer plate and stock plate to suit the clamp and bolt it down, wires go down the steering colum and done!!Click image for larger version.
