Just been thinking...is there any reason I shouldn't use a 2012 water tempertaue sensor to replace my 2010 model "wts"??

Don't know if the motors are different, temperature rating, fuel/air mixture etc...

Still new to the jetski game.....

Make sure that you get the new part number though, some vendors still ship the old one. you also need to fill the cavity with silicone oil or grease to act as a heat transfer medium.

To the OP: Did you ever figure out this issue? I have a 2012 Ultra LX with 50 hours that is exhibiting the EXACT same symptoms. I drift fish over reefs for 10-15 minutes at a time. Later in the day it starts getting VERY hard to start and has left me stranded once. Sounds like it's flooded and idles rough for a few seconds, but otherwise runs fine at throttle.

I'm also in a hot/humid climate in Guam. Weird thing is that my other ski (identical but with less hours) doesn't do it nearly as bad.

I don't have the ability to flash the ultras, they use a different ecu from the 15fs.

Thanks Sean for the reply but doesn’t the aspirated have the 15fs I thought the ultra lx and the src were all the same engines?

They are kind of weird parts bin mashups, so its not a 100% 15f or Ultra. They use different timing wheels, cranks, and cases vs the 15f.The lx uses use ultra style ecus rather than the single plug mitsubishi setups the 15f uses.
