Keep an eye on the new 06 GTI
I rode one last weekend on Lake Havasu. Awsome handling and very nimble hull. While it is underpowered at 130 horsepower it's going to be a monster with a 300 HP engine swap

Did you get a good look at the tunnel on that thing? Will there be any trouble doing the conversion?

I told you so Jerry.
There will be no problem putting the 215 motor in this set up in the GTI 4-TEC PRO this one comes with the aluminum jet pump, the GTI SE and GTI comes standard with the composite/aluminum pump, I guess if you wanted to you can change the pump on the SE model.

How do i know?
Simple math!
weight x horsepower = monster
There are PLENTY of 300 HP kits running around out there. You can find them in closed course racing. We here are a minority in we like to go fast in a straight line. Those closed course guys with the 300 HP monsters could care less about top speed. They are set up for acceleration and want to get to the next buoy first.
Even in closed course trim the 300 HP kits hit 85 mph.
When Lemoine was goin down the back stretch at Havasu the announcer said they were radaring him at 85.
If i had that ski I would set it up for straight line speed and would have it doing 90
