Only took 5 years to get back to it, but apparently this is going to be a real thing now...

The guys in the shop brought it up to me and said time to make it happen.Click image for larger version.

    Cleaned out the bilge.
The tank still had ~8 gallons of pre mix.
Blood red when we emptied it and smelled like you'd expect.
    It still burned tho.

Weighed it just for fun while we were hanging it to clean.

    Clean and dry.
You can see where the tank pads trapped moisture against the c.f.
I'm going to make sure it's completely dry and lay a reinforcement layer of c.f. and resin.
Also going to reinforce the tunnel and all of the areas in the rear that are discolored from the years of water sitting in there Click image for larger version.

The ATM hood has some pretty good impacts, probably from being in storage more than its racing days.
Peeled the decals, started a light sanding.
Not sure how i'll finish this piece off yet.
I hate to hide the c.f. but it's yellow and cracked.

Quick note on the size of this thing.

The '98 GSX ltd deck measured out at 106"l x 45.6"w

    The 2-UP spark measures 110"l x 46"w

Tiny boat, but more room in the engine comp. than the RXP on the trailer next to it...

Nice score finally getting the ski! I loved my GSX Ltd back in the day, really was one of the best skis out before they got huge. I wanted something faster and ended up with an Ultra 150. To me both skis ride similar as far as nimble fun skis.

Still waiting for my engine block to mock up engine bay.
Sanding through the blue and red paint on the deck.
It May be another 5 pounds lighter when I'm done.

Might be a little optimistic, hull is out for paint.
I wanted to get more done on the bottom side - pump, shoe, tunnel - but painter has time now.
    Slow progress, but progress.

Curious to see your intake grate, shoe area. We have it's twin down in Jacksonville, and need to figure out the intake on it.
