    Looks like you figured out there's four bolts....

    I use a normal depth socket, not a deep well. I use this combination: Socket/Universal Joint/Extension/ratchet

    You'll have to work it slowly as the universal joint will want to bind.

    I took mine out without separating the u-pipe and manifold???

    I just used a normal deep socket and rachet. It kinda takes the paint off the top of the pipe because it hits it as you turn it

    The hull will give a little. I actually hammer a wood wedge between the exhaust and hull a bit to give me the clearance I need to need to get a standard socket with a swivel extension in there.

    +1 on the normal socket/universal joint combo. It takes a little time, but it won't scratch anything and you don't have to bend the hull.

    The pipe actually comes out pretty easy too. Just lift it where it bolts to the manifold then pull up and spin counter clockwise. It should slide right out.
