Biden to unveil long-awaited executive action on guns

The announcement, expected for Thursday, comes amid a spate of high-profile shootings and as some advocates have grown frustrated in the White House's delay.

President Joe Biden is expected to unveil a long-awaited package of executive actions to curb gun violence Thursday at the White House, according to four people familiar with the plan.

The announcement comes nearly three months into Biden’s term in office, a delay that had frustrated activists who wanted the president to fulfill a campaign pledge to take action on gun violence on his first day in office. That frustration only grew after a slate of mass shootings in Colorado, Georgia and California.

Biden will direct the administration to begin the process of requiring buyers of so-called ghost guns — homemade or makeshift firearms that lack serial numbers — to undergo background checks, according to three people who have spoken to the White House about the plans. He is expected to be joined at the event by Attorney General Merrick Garland.

Other executive actions remain unclear. But stakeholders have speculated that the president could announce regulations on concealed assault-style firearms; prohibitions on firearm purchases for those convicted of domestic violence against their partners; and federal guidance on home storage safety measures.

More than 100 House Democrats wrote to Biden last week, urging him to take action on the concealed assault-style firearms, which is similar to the one used in the Colorado shooting in which 10 people were killed.

    Via TPM:

GraceLife Church, the Alberta church which made headlines for defying provincial pandemic-related lockdown orders, is being blocked off by police using roadblocks and fencing to prevent worshippers from reaching the building.

The church first made headlines last month after their pastor, James Coates, was jailed for violating lockdown orders on Mar 5. He was held for weeks before his release on Mar 22, but still faces an upcoming trial.

Sources familiar with the situation say that the premises was raided in the early morning.

EXCLUSIVE: ‘Protect Democracy Project’ – The Group Threatening Arizona Auditors Is Connected to Obama, Soros, China and Biden’s DOJ

The corruption from the Obama years is not over. It’s just beginning. The so-called “Non-For-Profit” group, the Protect Democracy Project, is now involving itself in the Arizona Senate’s audit of Maricopa County. They are connected to Obama, Soros, China, and Biden’s DOJ, and are fighting to prevent an accurate count of the valid votes in the county.

Yesterday we reported that some legal firms joined the Not-For-Profit Protect Democracy Project in threatening the auditors selected in Arizona by the Senate to audit the 2020 Election results of Maricopa County.

    We noted:

In a letter emailed Tuesday to the Senate’s hired auditors, attorneys for the non-profit voting-rights group Protect Democracy and three Phoenix firms warn that the auditors’ plan to knock on doors to search for voters likely violates state and federal law.

Per an article from the National Pulse the Protect Democracy Project is connected to all sorts of crooked players, including the Chinese:

…President Obama’s former associate White House Counsel, Ian Bassin, who heads the anti-Trump litigation efforts Protect Democracy Project and United to Protect Democracy.

Bassin previously headed the far-left Avaaz network, founded in turn by the leftist MoveOn.org group, as well as the Truman National Security Project, which has featured lead Joe Biden policy advisor Jake Sullivan and Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden on its board.

Despite claims of being non- or bi-partisan, The National Pulse exposed the group as a host of NeverTrump activists, partnered with [George Soros] Open Society Foundation staffers, and partnered in turn with Chinese Communist Party officials.

Bassan was not the only Obama operative in this ‘NFP’. Also, Emily Loeb worked in the Obama White House and now she’s been given a top job at the DOJ. We are unable to find information as to whether Loeb still is working for the Protect Democracy Project. Below is from the 2019 Protect Demacracy Project’s tax filing:

Think about this. An appointee of the Democratic Biden administration, serving in a senior position in his DOJ, is (or was until recently?) an executive committee member of the nonprofit which is attempting to sabotage the Arizona Senate’s attempt to simply determine the accuracy of the 2020 election in Maricopa County, by threatening the auditors hired by the Arizona Senate to conduct the audit.

Biden Reportedly Taps Gun Control Activist To Head ATF

Apparently Joe Biden isn’t just going to announce new executive orders on Thursday. Multiple media outlets are reporting that Biden will also announce his nomination of former ATF agent and current gun control activist David Chipman to head up the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.

Chipman spent 25 years at the ATF, including playing a role at the raid and siege of the Branch Davidian compound in Waco serving as a case agent in the Branch Davidian trial before eventually rising to serve as the head of the agency’s Firearms Division. More recently, Chipman’s been getting paid as a senior policy advisor at the gun control group founded by former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and her husband, freshman Sen. Mark Kelly from Arizona.

Chipman’s embraced his anti-gun side ever since, including in March of last year, when he denigrated and dismissed the millions of Americans who were buying firearms for the very first time in the wake of the lockdowns that were being mandated across the country.

“Fear has been the motivation for much of the increases in firearms purchases,” David Chipman, Senior Policy Advisor for gun control advocate group Giffords, told Newsweek.

“A small percentage of the marketing to gun owners has been to encourage preparation for end times scenarios and zombie apocalypses.”

Chipman said the country’s current gun laws allow people to hoard weapons in the same way they are able to mass buy toilet paper.

He described how there could be a disastrous knock-on effect for those who are purchasing a weapon for the first time amid the coronavirus outbreak.

“As a gun owner myself, I get how people instinctively think about their personal safety and that of their family.

“What concerns me most is not the responsible gun owners who decide to pick up a couple more boxes of ammo but the person who has never handled a gun buying an AR-15 who plans to bring a weapon of war into their home untrained and is already under an extraordinary amount of stress. It’s adding gasoline to a fire.

“My fear is that in a race to protect themselves from this pandemic, some people might be bringing a different danger right through their front door.”

Chipman was also okay with governors trying to shut down gun stores last year by declaring them non essential businesses, denying people to acquire a firearm because, who knows, they might regret it later.

    And just like that...

European Court of Human Rights Rules That Mandatory Vaccinations Are Legal

The European Court of Human Rights has ruled that mandatory vaccinations are legal in a significant judgment that could have a big impact on the rollout of the COVID-19 jab.

The ruling was in response to a complaint from a group of Czech families who had been fined and had their children denied nursery care over their refusal to let their kids take mandatory vaccinations against against nine diseases including diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, hepatitis B and measles.

The parents argued that the law was in violation of of Article 8 on the right to respect for private life, but the court disagreed and said that the compulsory jabs were in the “best interests” of children to ensure “every child is protected against serious diseases, through vaccination or by virtue of herd immunity.”

Mandatory vaccinations “could be regarded as being ‘necessary in a democratic society’,” the court judgment read.

Although not directly related to COVID, the ruling could have significant implications given current debates over vaccine passports and whether workers in some jobs should be forced to take the vaccine as a condition of employment.

This judgment “reinforces the possibility of a compulsory vaccination under conditions of the current COVID-19 epidemic,” Nicolas Hervieu, a legal expert specializing in the ECHR, told AFP.

It’s also worth noting that despite having left the European Union as a result of Brexit, the UK, which is currently in the process of planning for domestic vaccine passports, is still a member of the European Court of Human Rights.

If only their bullshit only affected them

Pro-immigration French tycoon and his wife assaulted by four migrant home-jackers

French tycoon and former Adidas owner Bernard Tapie and his wife were attacked by four immigrants in a violent burglary at their home in Combs-la-Ville (Seine-et-Marne) near Paris. According to a police source, of the four suspects, three were of an “African type” and one of a “North African type”.

The four attackers reportedly gained access to the couple’s estate before entering through the window of one of the bedrooms on the first floor. An item belonging to them was found there. They allegedly knew the lay-out of the home.

The couple were tied up with electrical cords, physically assaulted and robbed. Bernard Tapie, 78, who was briefly a government minister, has always been a vocal advocate for immigration. And Tapie tried to reason with his torturers to make them aware of this fact. But when Tapie told the attackers that he had always stood up for migrants, one of the torturers replied: “Fuck you, that time is over!”

Tapie and his wife, Dominique, 70, had been sleeping when the assailants confronted them. “They were woken up by flashlights in the face,” a person close to the case told le Parisien. The couple were dragged from their bed, assaulted and tied up.

“The attackers wanted to know where the safe was. They attacked Dominique, hitting her in the face,” this source explained. Bernard Tapie, for his part, received a violent blow with a baton behind the head, which left him stunned and confused.

The investigation has now been taken over by prosecutors in the capital Paris. Investigators from the Versailles judicial police initially had to reconstruct the attack without CCTV images: there were no cameras around the residence. But according to information from the Parisian daily, a glove was found on the scene.

According to a police source, the four immigrant suspects were all dressed in black and hooded. During the burglary and the forcible confinement, Bernard Tapie was reportedly hit in the back of the head while his wife was allegedly beaten repeatedly in the face before being dragged around the house by her hair. An ambulance transported Dominique Tapie to hospital but not her husband.
