Anti-Gun Hero NM Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham Interviews for VP With Shannon Watts

Gun control groups fearmongering about lawful firearm owners better be careful. New Mexico Democratic Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham just destroyed their narrative by saying the quiet parts out loud.

Gov. Grisham spoke to Moms Demand Action’s Shannon Watts for Everytown for Gun Safety’s Veepstakes with candidates auditioning to be second fiddle to 2020 presumptive Democratic nominee and former Vice President Joe Biden. Watts, who has repeatedly stated protests are “AstroTurfed” and fake, regurgitated the tired narrative that pro-Second Amendment rallies taking place across the country involved “armed protestors that we know are fueled by fearmongering and extremism.”
Grisham must not have gotten the script.

“I’m going to give New Mexicans, even though they continue to do those protests, a shout out,” Gov. Grisham explained. “They worked hard frankly to not attack state police and others who are doing the crowd management and trying to keep everyone safe. They have not rushed to get into a public office or the capitol. They have been fairly productively managed.”

That sounds similar to other protests, especially Virginia, where tens of thousands of law-abiding Second Amendment supporters gathered to protest Democratic Gov. Ralph Northam’s gun control overreach earlier this year. That protest resulted in a single arrest – for someone wearing a facemask – and protestors were complimented for picking up trash once they finished. That charge for wearing a facemask in public was eventually dropped.

    Gun Control Record

Though not gaining the national attention failed 2020 presidential candidates U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.), Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) and even failed 2018 Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams garner, Gov. Grisham received notoriety for her back-and-forth-and-back-again approach to shuttering New Mexican firearm businesses and ranges.

Gov. Grisham defied early Department of Homeland Security guidance deeming firearm manufacturers, retailers, distributors and ranges “essential” and instead shut them down. Some stores refused and continued serving customers, including local law enforcement, while following safety guidelines. Gov. Grisham sent in state troopers. She was sued for the closure orders, but then issued an executive order opening small businesses, including gun stores, as long as they kept customer capacity below 25% and followed CDC health guidelines.

That’s what many firearm businesses were doing all along. She instead justified her closure orders as honoring New Mexicans’ right to purchase firearms because they could “still do gun sales on the internet.” The businesses she initially deemed essential included “if it meant those daily requirements for health and safety for human beings and family, you were essential.” Apparently Gov. Grisham doesn’t believe firearms are included, despite numerous reports of local law enforcement being stretched thin and jails releasing criminals who quickly committed crimes again.

I'm not even sure that's the problem. Like most dem-run big cities, training their police seems to be low on their priority list. And now the liberal mayor who couldn't be bothered to train her police is telling them to stand down while "protestors" burn businesses to the ground & attack innocent people. Meanwhile, when Mohamed Noor was being tried for killing Justine Damond, not a single riot occurred & the only protests were IN FAVOR of the murderer. Not surprising this is the same district that elected Ilhan Omar.

Girls come out fighting for their sports...

    DEPT. OF EDUCATION TO STATES:
TRANS ATHLETES VIOLATE WOMEN'S RIGHTS, MAY WITHOLD FEDERAL FUNDING

A Connecticut policy that allows trans athletes to compete as 'girls' in high school sports violates the civil rights of athletes who have always identified as female, according to a letter from the U.S. Education Department’s civil rights office...

The office said in the 45-page letter that it may seek to withhold federal funding over the state school policy... The policy is a violation of Title IX, the federal civil rights law that guarantees equal education opportunities for women, including in athletics, the office said.

It has “denied female student-athletes athletic benefits and opportunities, including advancing to the finals in events, higher level competitions, awards, medals, recognition, and the possibility of greater visibility to colleges and other benefits”...

4 officers.....2 with previous complaints. Subject was cuffed. Walk him to the patrol vehicle. Sometimes simply talking to the arrestee works wonders. One dead, and 4 fired officers, and more coming their way! Senseless!

It’s Spreading: Rioting and Looting Begins in St. Paul After Night of Chaos in Minneapolis

Riots and looting have kicked off in St. Paul after a night of violence, chaos and destruction in Minneapolis the night before.

Law abiding citizens are being urged to avoid retail areas in St. Paul for their own safety as violent gangs of looters have began to attack cop cars with bricks and smash their way into buildings.

“Due to the potential for flash looting in Maplewood, Police are urging people to avoid retail areas until further notice,” the Maplewood Police tweeted.

The opportunistic looters claim to be protesting racism and police brutality with their disgusting actions, which have included arson.

Much like the previous day, the looting spree appeared to begin at a Target.

“Officers first responded to the Target on University Avenue around 11:30 a.m. and found between 50 and 60 people grabbing merchandise off the shelves without paying, said St. Paul police spokesman Steve Linders. Many dropped the goods and ran when authorities arrived,” the Star Tribune reports.

The mob also attacked Cub Foods, a local shoe store, and several other businesses by late afternoon.
Officers from St. Paul who went to Minneapolis to help fight the crime and arsonists have returned to their city to help defend it.

They have now used tear gas in an attempt to disperse the criminals.

Minneapolis City Council VP Wants to ‘Declare State of Emergency Declaring Racism as a Public Health Issue’

    Here we go.

Minneapolis City Council VP Andrea Jenkins wants racism declared a public health issue.

“I am asking my colleagues … to declare a state of emergency declaring racism as a public health issue. Until we name this virus, this disease that has infected America for the past 400 years, we will never, ever resolve this issue,” Jenkins said.

Violent protests rocked Minneapolis this week.

Protests erupted on Wednesday after a Minneapolis police officer killed a black man named George Floyd using excessive force during an arrest on Monday.

There was chaos, looting and rioters set businesses on fire.

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey (D) asked Governor Tim Walz (D) to deploy National Guard troops.
An entire block in south Minneapolis was set on fire!

Now the city council is trying to declare racism as a “public health issue.” Makes sense.

'Voter fraud'? California man finds dozens of ballots stacked outside home

Jerry Mosna was gardening outside his San Pedro, Calif., home Saturday when he noticed something odd: Two stacks of 2016 ballots on his mailbox.

The 83 ballots, each unused, were addressed to different people, all supposedly living in his elderly neighbor’s two-bedroom apartment.

“I think this is spooky,” Mosna said. “All the different names, none we recognize, all at one address.”

His wife, Madalena Mosna, noted their 89-year-old neighbor lives by herself, and, “Eighty people can’t fit in that apartment.”

They took the ballots to the Los Angeles Police Department, but were directed to the post office. They felt little comfort there would be an investigation, and called another neighbor, John Cracchiolo – who contacted the Los Angeles County Registrar's office.

A spokeswoman for the Registrar said the office will investigate. Both Cracchiolo and Jerry Mosna told FoxNews.com they think they stumbled upon a case of fraud.

“Yes, there is voter fraud. We saw it with our own eyes,” Cracchiolo said.

In a statement, the office of the Registrar said, “We are carefully reviewing our records and gathering information to fully identify what took place. Our preliminary assessment is that this appears to be an isolated situation related to a system error that occurred causing duplicate ballots to be issued to an address entered for a single voter. We are working directly with the system vendor to ensure the issue is addressed and to identify any similar occurrences.”

Further, spokeswoman Brenda Duran said the Postal Service “has indicated that they returned all of the improperly addressed ballots to our office.”

Spokesman Richard Maher confirmed the U.S. Postal Inspection Service has offered its assistance. He would not comment on the number of incidents, saying only there are “relatively few.”

John Fund, a journalist and co-author with Hans von Spakovsky of the book, “Who’s Counting: How Fraudsters and Bureaucrats Put Your Vote at Risk,” said someone could easily have voted with these ballots using a variety of fake signatures.

“It is doubtful they would have ever been detected,” Fund said.

Von Spakovsky, senior legal fellow and manager of the Election Law Reform Initiative at the Heritage Foundation, said voter fraud is prevalent enough that it could make the difference in a close election. The Heritage Foundation, he said, has recorded 430 cases of voter fraud -- proven cases where someone was convicted or a judge ordered a new election.

A former FEC commissioner and counsel to the assistant attorney general for civil rights at the U.S. Justice Department, von Spakovsky said California is of particular concern because of the rising number of noncitizens illegally registering and voting in elections, as well as the “terrible shape” the voter registration rolls are in.

The 89-year-old neighbor to whom the stack of ballots was addressed is hard of hearing, and was unavailable for comment. The Mosnas stressed that the ballots clearly were not for her -- and have not even discussed the issue with her.
