San Jose Mayor Orders Gun Shops Closed as ‘Non-essential’

During a national emergency with unprecedented demand for guns nationwide, San Jose’s Mayor — someone who wanted to require gun owners to buy liability insurance — has decided that no one really needs to buy a firearm.

…[A]fter customers lined up around gun stores in several counties Tuesday — including outside the Bullseye Bishop in San Jose — San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo declared that “gun stores are non-essential.”

“We are having panic buying right now for food,” Liccardo said Wednesday. “The one thing we cannot have is panic buying of guns.”

Law enforcement officials confirmed Wednesday that they shut down the Bullseye Bishop with little fanfare, in one of the first enforcement actions taken in San Jose on the initial day of the shelter-in-place order.
“We went out there and closed it,” San Jose police Chief Eddie Garcia said, adding that the owner was cooperative.

How Convenient. FBI Shuts Down FOIA Operation Until At Least March 30 Over Coronavirus Panic

    How convenient.

The FBI on Thursday shut down its Freedom of Information Act [FOIA] operation through at least the end of March in response to the Coronavirus panic.

The FBI is already slow-rolling the release of Spygate docs requested by conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch.

Judicial Watch boss Tom Fitton said this benefits the Deep State coup plotters.

“FBI Shuts Down FOIA Operation Until At Least March 30 Due To #Coronavirus. Who benefits? Ohr, Strzok, Page, Comey, McCabe, Obama, Hillary Clinton, etc. Who loses? Americans who want accountable government under law,” Tom Fitton said.

Judicial Watch has filed countless FOIA lawsuits against the FBI requesting communications between FBI lovers Lisa Page and Peter Strzok.

“The FBI has been slow rolling the release of Page-Strzok communications and is still hiding all their infamous text messages,” Fitton said last summer after the FBI said it would take over two years to produce the requested documents.

The FBI is only producing 500 pages of documents a month (out of 20,000 pages) on Lisa Page and Peter Strzok which Tom Fitton said is “absolutely absurd.”

California governor orders all residents to stay home to help slow spread of virus

The governor of California has issued a statewide stay-at-home order to help slow the spread of the new coronavirus and it takes effect immediately.

Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) announced the order during a press conference Thursday, saying “this is a moment we need to make tough decision.”

Newsom went on to say that the order will not be enforced by the authorities. Instead, the state is relying on the social contract to keep people indoors.

The state’s coronavirus website says Californians may leave their homes for essential needs and the following essential services will remain open: gas stations, pharmacies, grocery stores, take-out and delivery restaurants, banks, and laundromats,
Communities in the San Francisco and Los Angeles areas had already been under similar orders to combat COVID-19, the deadly respiratory illness caused by the virus.

On Wednesday, Newsom also wrote to President Donald Trump to request that he deploy the USNS Mercy Hospital Ship to the Port of Los Angeles through September 1, 2020. The hospital ship would be used to help decompress the state’s health care delivery system in L.A. in response to COVID-19.

Newsom also warned that roughly 56% of people in the nation's most populous state could contract the virus.

“We project that roughly 56 percent of our population – 25.5 million people – will be infected with the virus over an eight-week period,” Newson wrote to Trump.

A spokesman said that estimate doesn’t take into account aggressive mitigation measures being taken across the state.

California is one of the states that has been hit the hardest by the virus so far. As of Thursday night, more than 950 cases have been reported in the state, with at least 18 deaths from COVID-19, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.

This is all just their slow-walk into martial law. Good thing L.A. started letting people out of jail yesterday. Gee...here let's let you out of jail just in time for our total lockdown order. Makes sense.

Executive order: Bars, gyms closed in affected Arizona counties, Nat'l Guard activated for help

Gov. Doug Ducey announced major actions to continue combating the spread of coronavirus in Arizona, including closing bars, movie theaters, and gyms in any counties with confirmed cases of the virus.

In a series of tweets Thursday evening detailing the executive order, Ducey said he will also be requiring that restaurants provide only dine-out options in affected counties. The sweeping change so far would apply to Maricopa, Pinal, Coconino, Yavapai, Pima, Navajo, Graham, and Santa Cruz counties.

I’m issuing an Executive Order that requires restaurants in counties w/ confirmed cases of #COVID19 to provide dine-out options only, & closes bars, movie theaters and gyms. Restaurants will be allowed to deliver alcoholic beverages w/ food purchase 5/

Ducey said he has activated the National Guard to also assist at grocery stores and food banks while the facilities deal with heightened demand.

To ensure Arizonans have continued access to food, I’m activating the National Guard to assist grocery stores & food banks in the face of heightened demand. This will ensure grocery stores have the manpower needed to keep shelves stocked @AZNationalGuard 3/

The executive order also halts all elective surgeries in the state to free up medical resources and space at hospitals, while also reserving necessary protective equipment, as well as delaying expiration dates on driver licenses, so that older residents are not required to visit the MVD during the public health emergency.

According to a release from Ducey's office, the order goes into effect by close of business on Friday, March 20.
"This is an all-in effort," he said in a tweet.

Cities across Arizona had been declaring states of emergency this week as cases continued to be diagnosed. The declarations also included granting local officials powers to restrict establishments and free up resources to assist in fighting the spread.
