An old thread for sure! I remember going through the testing stages with Worx, R&D, Riva and Solas grates back then too.. I ended up with Worx in the offshore world..lol

I haven't peeped at all of the comments so maybe this question popped up already.. R&D 81.2 @ 8700 RPM vs Worx 79.5 @ 8600 RPM....
As rule of thumb, 80-100 rpm = 1mph..

RPM vs RPM, If you were to use the same impeller but remove 1mm off the trailing edge to get the Worx to hit 8700 rpm would this not get you to 80.5'ish? If so, that .7mph isn't much and I would surely want handling over the less than 1mph on top. It "May" slip a bit out of the hole now as with the R&D, Acceleration would improve on the Worx with 1mm less pitch too. Sounds like the Worx processes more water than the R&D and it needs to have the matching impeller pitch to accommodate the drag. The R&D is a Badass! But the Worx out performed in the chop IMHO... Thanks for the thread that I missed 8 years ago, Ha!

Old for sure. Brought make some memories. I remember overnighting a grate down to my SOFL office and it was shoved under a truck tire like a wheel chock. Glade rider went over and picked up the grate and provided results!

Thanks guys for the replys, not bone new to the ski world, had a ruis racing gp1300r back in the day, but sadly the bones and joints are too sore for that nowadays hence the big Bently GT cruiser in the form of the GTX 260. Not interested in top speed or brake neck turns, just want something that will run well in the salty stuff. The r and d grate was as cheap as chips tbh. Would you fit or leave it in the shed and stick with the stock grate?

Does the RnD grate still have better acceleration than the Works grate?

Both will offer better acceleration, as both are keeping the pump "loaded". However the R&D is no longer availible as they closed their doors last year. I run a R&D on my PX, it did make a considerable difference over stock in the chop.
The WORX is a very similar design,

Did R&D make an Rxtx 300 2018 ST3 Hull Grate before they closed? If so what part number and can I still find one?
