Thread: motor coupler

    motor coupler

    I have a 2005 ultra 150,I'm looking to replace my motor coupler can this be done with motor in hull or does it need to come out,also any tips on how to hold shafts to un screw. any info would be great.

    Can't help with how to do it. Just curious what happened to the coupler.

    Broke motor mounts and motor shifted a little and had a little metal to metal contact.It's still all there but i can see where it was touching.It may be ok but if it wasn't too much of a pain in the ass to change i was going to change it just for piece of mind.
