96 GSX seized
Hey guys, my motor was acting up the other day while riding. I took it home and i went to flush it and it wouldnt turn! It would just click and nothing. the solenoid is good, starter is good, could some kind of gear in the MAG housing come out of place or stuck? Could it cause the motor to not turn?
Any help is appreciated
Thanks!

If you take the plugs out can you hand turn the motor via the PTO?

Maybe you got lucky and the pump froze on you. Although you said it was acting up first. How did those plugs look when you pulled them, did it lock from running lean? I have read that the pickup in the mag housing is prone to break off but that would be sudden instead of running poorly first.

Well you know the pump could be frozen..the mechanic that put the new motor in said that he had trouble with the pump and it forze before..to unfreeze it do i just take it off and put it back on??

Pump isnt frozen. I gound that the bolt that is on the MAG side of the engine that bolts to the crankshaft fell off and caused it to seize. I put the bolt back on and it spun freely. But when i put the cover on the motor wont spin...any advice?
Thanks

The motor will spin when the cover is on loosely (the MAG cover). bu when i snug it down it locks up the motor.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Look at the bolts that hold the mag cup to the flywheel.
Theres 6 Allen bolts holding the cup in. If you found one out and can't turn it, chances are more are coming loose.

Well those bolts are the ones that came out. Its the big nut that bolts onto the the end of the crankshaft. Im going to try to really tighten it down and see what happens.

It's useless to buy all that other stuff without the ECU tune. You'll...
