Newbie question
Hello. I am new here and new to jet skis.
I have a 97 slt 780. Engine is out ( threw a rod)
checking impeller, should it spin freely by
spinning shaft? Should i be able to reach
into pump and spin impeller. The shaft spins
easy but impeller does not move. Hope this
is not too stupid of a ? Thanks

When you say reach into pump to move impeller? You won't be able to get to the impeller reaching in the back. You'll get to the Stator. The stator does not move. Perhaps you are mistaking the stator for the impeller?

Ya. I bet I am. I have no idea whats what
In my experience With used eq. it is best
To take it apart inspect/clean or repair.
It sounds like I should get a manual and
Start twisting wrench.
