Sticky for tried and true mods?
What about the idea of putting a sticky post in this forum that we periodically update with mod info. This might cut down on redundant posts looking for mod results as well as keep everyone informed. Something like:
DIY Mods:
Filling ride plate holes - good for ~1MPH - (link to pics/process)
Cutting reverse bucket - good for .5 MPH - (link to pics/process)
Jerry's Air Mod - better accel, .5 MPH ((link to pics/process)
Go Fast Parts:
Vortech SC Impeller - adds good accel (link to order here)
Riva Grate - fastest AM grate, more speed, better hookup
Solas 14/19 - Too steep for stock, works well with Stage I+ mods
Kits:
Riva Stage I kit - better accel, 71-72 MPH, 8100 RPM
Riva Stage II kit - even better accel, 72-76 MPH, 8100 RPM
Rotax Racing Stage I - better accel, 74-75 MPH, 8450 RPM
Rotax Racing Stage III - better accel, 76-80 MPH, 8450 RPM
What do you think?

Basicly it's a good idea, however it's hard to get people to agree on which mods work best. Someone will swear by a mod or a particular aftermarket part, while someone else will swear at it. For reasons not always understood, some mods will increase speed and performance on ski "A" and decrease it on ski "B" even if A &B are identical skis.

Maybe we post the sticky describing the mod with pics etc, then everyone who has done the mod weighs in with info on how it worked on their ski. That way people considering doing the mod can make an informed decision based on all pros and cons posted.

The DIY or "anal" mods (limited05) are a good one to list because they are hard to search for.
ex.
reverse bucket, rideplate hole filling, sandpapering the hull, knife edging the transom, homemade air filters, plastic bushing on the rxt ,etc, etc.
The other mod list wouldn't work because everyone has a different riding style. Some like the wedge , some don't. ,etc, etc.
All you have to do is look at someones signature or speed post when they break there next barrier they display there mod list that worked.

Don't forget about the mods and pics on my homepage www.greenhulk.net
I have the rideplate mod and reverse bucket mod listed there.
Im open to requests on what to put there as well.

Pulling the heads isn't that hard. You need to remove the water fittings...
