HI Im new to the forum and hook up every night and love it. All these clutches going down is starting to worry me.Just wondered can we do away with the clutch completely and have a straight drive.

I know someone here has two blown RXPs that seem to say it's a bad idea.

The acceleration and deceleration loads are way to high to not have a clutch.Next time your on your ski watch how quick your rpms drop when you get out of the throttle then try and imagine the loads on your s/c as it slows down 5 times that fast.

So if its a deceleration problem why not address this with a stronger like rear sprocket of a bicycle ( free Wheeling when engine slows.)
