Stock exhaust hose to rude tip?
Just like the title asks. Can I finagle the stock exhaust rubber hose onto the Rude through hull tip? Much cheaper than the Riva alternative.

Here is one I made out of 03 GTX exhaust hose, ss joint, and 04 rxp oem exhaust exit elbow.
It actually could not fit much better.
The 03 GTX 185 ski had totally different exhaust hose since it had 1 water box and 2 resonators.

I like the idea of using the hose that you have, I used a X skis EX IC hose and the X ski exhaust hose for my Ex IC set up and thru hull, nice going!

only problem with running hose is make sure it will not rub on anything or it will put a hole in it. I know some people that have tried to make a power pipe using a hose and after a while sprung a leak from rubbing. Just safer using a metal pipe.I'm not sure but might even help sound. Good luck on what you chose install a bilge pump if you haven't yet.

If you overheat 1 time good enough, you sink ! Is it worth being cheap?? I think not...
Riva's first gen thru hull exhaust pipes were made of plastic, and if someone ran lean on extended WOT runs, blew a cooling hose, or plugged up a strainer, guess what? They would sink........and fast too. A bilge will not keep up with the amount of water that will come in from a 2-3/4" hole.
Thats why all their plumbing is now metal.....

Nice! Big ol' VTS system blocking everything. Rubber hose can be wrapped in DEI titanium header wrap to protect it from basically anything. That crap takes a beating. I think I still might go Al piping. We will see how expensive my options get.
I know it's not a cheap sport. In two weeks I'm down about $1400. I hope the GF doesn't belong to this forum. She mite drive my ski up my arse.

You guys are dooing it all wrong, all you need is a butt plug for your ski.
Neither one of my skis will ever be sinking due to water entering the thru hull tip if i do ever have problems regardless of type of plumbing.
All you need is one of these in the front compartment and a bilge to get what little water enters the hull before inserting.
It fits right in the thru hull tip, just tight enough to not come out, and also floats.
Not my first RODEO>

I guess, If your using a Rubber (ex. hose that is) , Than Steve-o's lil Butt plug trick sounds like the way to go.
