3-seater OPAS equipped skis
http://www.sea-doo.net/board/thread.asp?threadid=78894
i'm using this forum since my webshots won't work and i can post pictures here... thanks! let me know what u RXP guys think...
get this... fellow board member KS having a problem with his 2003 NA 4-tecs (two of them).. been tryin to help him and he e-mailed me pictures... i saw the "problem" right away, but maybe not a problem?
get this...
i looked at pics of my past 2 skis...
2003 GTX 4-tec
2005 RXT
the OPAS fins on these two units are installed in two different ways... a different side of the fin being on the top on each unit
KS sent me two pictures... both skis being 2003 4-tecs (same year as mine)... BUT one of his skis has OPAS installed like my RXT, and one has them isntalled like my 03...
same year ski, same model, same everything... but a different installation?
this a BRP goof-up late at night or did they cahnge mid 2003 or is there somethin up?
I'M CONFUSED!!!
Pics will follow... gimme 1 minute

Ski_2.jpg and Seadoo 010.jpg have them upside down. They just look goofy.
Here are pics of my 05rxp and 05gtxsc

hm... interesting... and to think all of these units and pictures we've posted all came installed from the factory like that... two of the pictures with them upside down came from 2003.... i wonder how they were installed in 2002... may jsut be a few workers not realizing there was a difference, or maybe seadoo actually changed the design at some point.

nothing I can see there to worry about. It's possible the original owner had it replaced under warranty with a newer model or took it apart and swapped a few parts around.

They are all right if you look at the veins on the fins they are all down I would worry more about the one that is only halfway down . Might be somthing wrong there ?

Shibby, do you have a picture of a 3 seater OPAS with the 3/4" PVC installed?

Billy, Image the OPAS paddle flipped with the larger side on bottom and the OPAS Comp kit (PVC) on the bar above the OPAS paddle like the picture. Now you have to understand that the OPAS paddle would be pushed all the way in the UP position, then insert the PVC. The pic shows where the Comp kit is inserted (colored black, and shows the slit in the comp kit that allows it to be pushed over that bar.), but does not show the paddle pushed up. The paddle gets pushed up 1 15/16" to 2".
