When you install the wedge doesnt that offset the pump cone from the nozzle hole, wouldnt this affect performance?

In my past experience I always gained 1 mph from running the wedge. yes, it does offset the cone in relation to the nozzle once it's installed.

You loose 50 rpm's but gain 1 to 2 mph because of less drag and changing the water angle at the pump and not at the steering nozzle.
