04 RXP Performance
Just though you guys would like to know that over the last few months i have had problems with my RXP revs and speed. It would not go over 7500 rpm and 70 mph. But since i had the new knock sensor fitted, i tested it, and got 8150 rpm and top speed of 77mph. The lake temp was 58 degrees F. Hope this helps anyone with similar problems.

None, all stock parts. This was the first in Northern Ireland. Purchased March 2004. No mods were done.

Spartan, you can't trust the speedometer on your RXP. You should invest in a handheld GPS to determine the true top speed of your ski. At 8150 RPM you should be right around the 70 MPH mark.

Why did you get a new knock sensor fitted? Was there a reason or any symptoms saying you had to? Other than low RPM?

I am suprised your speedometer will even read that high.

The reason for the knock sensor was the ski was hesitating at top speeds.
