I you do not see the replaced wire on the female end of the plug look like the resst of them, then you are not going to get a connection.

BE SURE ON THE PLUG THAT YOU PUT THE WIRE IN....LOOK ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE PLUG AND MAKE SURE

THE WIRE YOU PUT IN LOOKS LIKE THE REST!

    NO PROBLEM.......

Finally did it and yes with your instructions it was a loooot easier. Now I am scared because my installation went too smoth, the white cable went in pretty easy, along with everything else. The 2 whote taps also went in easy but donīt know if I was supposed to hear a clic which I didnīt. The only thing I fotgot was Hurricaneīs idea to look from the other side. Hopefully tomorrow I will disconect it again and look. I really donīt want to see the F1 code . Thanks man.

    Top Speed of 68 mph

Just Bough a 300x, The previous owner said he will go 68 mph Stock, I installed the Mod and still at 68 mph, Is there a way to know if the module is working correctly, Actually the mod was bough used and a mechanic installed it,
If you have Pictures of the installation will be great to corroborate its installed correctly.

I will be checking riva instructions if possible to see if I can find the module and where is installed.

    Faulty SCOMS

    Bringing back an old thread.

I have been hunting around, does anyone know what the symptons were on the faulty SCOMS?

What had happened? Have you had a faulty SCOM? What did it do to the ski?

Did it throw a fault code or were there faulty SCOMS that did not show a fault code?

    Thank you.

Faulty SCOM put out a f 1 code , saying speed sensor faulty , you can disconnect battery , reconnect and spin sensor with your finger to reset

So noob question here; If a SCOM is installed and then removed before it goes back to the dealership, can the dealership tell if it was installed and void the warranty?

Install was very easy and only took a few minutes. Anyone can do it in my opinion if you add my instructions to Riva's.

First is something I could not believe they did not say first and I recommend any time you work on your ski......... DISCONNECT THE BATTERY

Second is REMOVE THE ECU BRACKET FROM THE BULKHEAD
This will make everything much easier and the only way you can have room for your hands to route the wires. It just pulls out towards the bow.

Third is BE SURE THE MODULE IS ALL THE WAY AGAINST THE BACK OF THE ECU BRACKET (Picture 3 in instructions)
That is the only way you can easily reinstall the ECU cover in the bulkhead

Fourth WHEN RUNNING THE WIRES THROUGH THE RUBBER GROMMET, FIRST RUN A SMALL WIRE FROM THE BATTERY SIDE THROUGH THE OPENING AND REACH THROUGH THE OPENING IN THE BULKHEAD TO RETRIEVE THE SMALL WIRE YOU PUSHED THROUGH. PASS THE END OF YOUR SMALL WIRE THROUGH THE EYES OF THE MODULE WIRES, TWIST BACK ON ITSELF AND TAPE. aLSO TAPE OVER THE EYES AND YOUR WIRE.
This is SO much easier than trying to feed the wires the way the instructions state. Pull the wire you have pushed through slowly and carefully and your module wires will come right through.

EDIT: Upon testing I found one more thing that you will need to be sure of. The white wire that replaces the one instructed to remove from the harness NEEDS TO BE PUSHED ALL THE WAY IN. I got a fault code on my first test run. F1 (SPSE) so I unplugged and replugged the white wire (a few times) and it finally cleared. IF YOU GET A FAULT CODE AND ALARM AFTER INSTALLING, TRY THIS FIRST. You will have to really push it in there.

I hope this helps you with your install.
Does anybody know what i can use to override the speed on a kawasaki ultra 250x? The only one i see online is for the 300x/310x but nothing for the 250x, my runs at 64.9 mph GPS is this normal speed, what can i do to make it go faster?
