2000 kawasaki 900 stx piston size?

Hey guys quick question....Im replacing a piston on my kawasaki and was wondering what size is the stock piston? 0.5mm 1.0mm or 1.5mm? It was running lean and blew a hole in the piston if your wondering. Thanks!

the stock size on a kawi 900 is 73mm.

.5mm, 1.0mm, ect, would be "over sized".

what you need to do is first detemine, if your engine has ever been rebuilt, and what size pistons are in it currently. if they are over sized, it will have a numer on the top of the pistons. ( .25, .5, 1.0, ect)

you then need to determine if your cyl needs to be bored, up, to the next size. since you holed a piston, i am guessing you have some scoreing in the one cyl. this is when you would bore up to the next size to clean up the cyl properly. it is important to have all three pistons the same size, so you must bore all three holes the same.

    hope this helps.

Its completly stock never been rebuilt. The reason I ask is because I went to order a piston on watercraft superstore and it asked me if it was 0.5 1.0 or 1.5mm. I wasnt to sure on which one to choose so I can here.
