    2009 FZS

Hey guys, I got a question for you. I was under my ski last night waxing the bottom and the gellcoat is starting to really wear in several spots where the hull comes in contact with my trailer bunks. I was thinking of getting a gellcoat repair kit to build up the gellcoat in those spots. Has anybody heard or seen any of these nano cell hulls wear thru because of the trailer bunks? Maybe I am just being overly cautious cuz ive seen some of the disaster photos of the nano cell hulls. I've had the ski since new and its in great shape and I'm pretty anal with it, so maybe its just me wanting to keep the bottom perfect, even though I know it will get crappy from normal use and trailering. I'll try to post some pics tonight

It's clear coat, not gelcoat on the Yamahas
My trailer bunks do the exact same thing, I wouldn't worry about it. You could try a product such as 'liquid rollers' to help reduce friction, but I'm not sure how much it will prevent scratching.
