White Smoke?! Video.

2007 Kawasaki 250x with 35 hours.

Tried the ski today for the first time. Cold start, it started quick and I put it in the water for a five minute ride.

I let it warm up for a bit (about a minute or two) then picked up speed gradually.
It cut the throttle around 40mph and felt like the rev limiter kicked in. I let off and went full throttle again and it did 58 mph at about 7.6k rpm.
The whole time it was letting out white smoke from the exhaust even when I took it out of the water.

I took the video above showing this.
The smoke is odorless.

Any ideas?
Lubricant in the engine?

This video is after the 5 minute ride when I was rinsing it off. I had the water connected to it.

On a side note, does anyone have a users manual or know where I can download one for the 250x?

Its NOT smoke
it steam .......normal when out side is coolish air

as waz said looks like steam to me lol thats what happens when water touches hot metal in the exhaust pipe lmao

Thought of this also, but then I linked it with the power cutting off and only being able to get it up to 58mph (not GPS) and it spooked me a bit.

Any ideas about the stutter at 40mph other than letting the ski warm up more than a a few minutes?

Owners manual anyone? I'm pissed it didn't come with one although I was able to find the service manual.

I swear I googeled the hell out of everything, that's how I found the service manual, but no luck with the owners manual.

Anyone know why it would stutter or get stuck at 40mph then when I let off and get back on it it starts climbing again up
to 58mph?

The peak speed was 58mph and RPM was around 7.6k.

could be a bad plug causing the stutter, rpms are spot on so guessing your speedo wheel needs an adjustment or get a gps
