Blown Head Gasket? Coolant blows out bottle.
I can't ride for 5 minutes without the coolant bottle blowing all the coolant out the 3\8 hose buy the cap. I have changed the thermostat a year earlyer with no problems till lately. How common is it to be a cracked head and not a head gasket or both.
PS. It only blows out under power at speed, I changed the bottle and cap but nothing worked, the ride plate is clean and im not getting a hot alarm.

blown head gaskets are common.. cracked heads arnt...some swear buy riva head studs some swear buy oem ..some like copper spray some dont...
but almost all swear buy oem gaskets..if you go riva studs do som ereaserch or you may be doing it agian soon...
dnt know anything about your ski ..age hours mods ect..but if it is up there best to get the head surfaced.. look at it as an opportunity to upgrade ...porting.. lighter valves..cam ..valve train kit...block guard... ect..

just insurance it isnt warped .you can have a machiene shop check it...if it is you will need to do it again ..185 arnt notorious for blowing gaskets ..just repace it with stock stuff and you should be fine...lots here running 18 to 20 psi of boost on oem stuff..

Do you have to retorgue the stock headbolts also after your first ride?
Or is this only the case for the studs.
Just wondering, because i'm replacing my headgasket also,i will use stock gasket and bolts, maybe copperspray.
I know you have to lube the studs,do you lube the stock headbolts also?
