cold water speeds
I installed the Stage one kit on my ski along with the free flow exhaust pipe. Had the cluster updated. I was anxious to try out all the new goodies so I took it for a test drive in 55 degree water and 60 degree air temp and the best speed i could get was 70 solid, touching 71 for brief moments on the ski's speedo. The max RPM i could get was 7960. Will cold water and air slow down the ski?

Is this measured with a GPS? The stock speedo is way off. And cold water/air helps with speed.

Colder air is more dense, so typically you'll get better speeds in the colder months. What kind of ski do you have? Did you swap out the prop?
I'm surprised you rode today. I was thinking of going out, but it was way too fing cold.

wear ring
The shop said the ring was fine. I also had a full tank of fuel and I'm 260 pounds, i knew the ski would be slower but figured the rpms should still be in the 8k range. Ive got about 90 hours on the ski so i am going to have the supercharger rebuilt. maybe this is part of the problem?

maybe your SC cluthes but you could have a boost leak also check that befor pulling SC although 90 hrs is getting close to rebuild time make sure you get the 2010 kit with RR washers your dealer may stick old stock parts in there RR washers are gray in color the 08 kit is gold I believe

What was your rpm before the mods.
Your ski has a Speed limiter.
Check out the S3 threads as there is alot of info from others.

What type of rebuilt is required around 100 hours? I thought it was just regular maintenance at 100 hours.
