BACKFIRE !!!!! bye bye intake ?
Well last weekend I experience for the first time a BACKFIRE that make the seat pop up and a huge noise....
I was thinking the motor explode but all its ok...well the intake it’s destroyed...#$%##
I been reading about this in several threads....and here are 3 possible answers for these:
- Injector leaking - I been making a test for all the day inserting the key, leaving it there for 30 minutes and then taking it out for another 30 minutes... all the day...nothing....not even a drop
- Compression TEST - I insert a compression tester in each cylinder and leave it there to check up if it have any leaks of pressure.....nothing....the 3 are equal
- Rude controller MAP - I have a map that takes out fuel in between 0-2500RPM in all voltages...
Any help will be appreciated...today I’m installing another intake and see what happens...
Did someone experience this twice?, or its very unlikely this happens...
Many thanks

My bet is in your Rude Controller Map. How much fuel are you taking away?
This happened to me also but not so bad. What ended up happening was that I installed the Rude controller and thought it was set up to all 10's but apparently it wasn't and it was set up for a supercharger when I was running a turbo. Anyways, I did experience some backfire but it was very minimal. Once I figured out that the rude controller was set wrong for my set up I reset it to all 10's and no more backfire.
Hope this helps.
