Need Help!
Got a 07' ultra 250x. Put it in the water thursday (little to no breeze, water like glass, full tank of gas) and the highest RPM's I could achieve was 6000, at full throttle. The supercharger was reading approximately 11.5. after about 5 minutes the RPM's dropped to 5000. the lowest RPM I saw was roughly 4500. I read somewhere that the trumpet could be hitting the hull. Sure enough it was. I put it back on the air box and glued it. Took the ski out today, thinking I fixed the problem, but I still could not go above 6000 rpm's. Before I took the ski out the first time, I changed the spark plugs, oil and filter and checked the tension on the supercharger belt. Any help to remedy the problem is greatly appreciated.

Everything is stock. I have a belt measuring gauge to check the tension on the belt. I have checked all exhaust and air intake clamps and hoses. I did find a broken "T fitting on the crankcase hoses leading to the air box, but I have replaced that.
I am using the FPO key
One more thing. when I take it out of the water and hook up a hose I can achieve full (approx 8800) RPM's

Bought it May of last year. It ran great all summer long. When I bought it, it had 25 hours on it. It currently has 34 hours.
The guy I bought it from bought it new in June 2007. Told me he used it the rest of the season and season of 2008. He told me it stayed in the garage all of 09', since he was in the military and here to be able to use it. He sold it to me in 10'. he ran it in salt water but flushed it out everytime he ran it. I have only ran it in fresh water.

I still have the original BOV. I was thinking of blocking it off to see if that fixed it.
But I was thinking (probbably wrong) that if the BOV was bad I would'nt be getting 11.5 psi on the supercharger?

I would think if it were the prop I would get cavitation while in the water, but there is no cavitation.
