Adusting HS jets on XL800
New 800XL to me. It has set up and wouldn't idle, so I pulled carbs out and cleaned them and re-set the hs to 1/5turns out. Put back in and now idles well. But I think I may have too rich settings on the high speed. Oh crap. How on earth can you get to these HS needles without taking the exhaust off?????? Caps still on.

If it was me, I'd pull the carbs again but this time install some t-handle adjusting screws. these are a must for fine tuning. look in the how to's for removing the caps.

The caps just pull off. And the do have a "T" shape. But the carbs are jambed up against the exhaust and I don't see a way to get to them with the pipe on. How would any tech adjust them. Or would the just guess and then have owner bring'er back in .....

800 carbs are slightly different then 1200R carbs the adjusters are accessible. Riva does offer t-handles for the high speed only on these as the lows have t-handles stock.
Adjustment settings: 800 - Low Speed – 1-7/8 +/- ¼, High Speed – 1/2 +/- ¼
