jet pilot wearers?
anyone got the jetpilot S1 or strike jet pilot life jacket? i was set on getting the apex side entry one, but im not sure i like the way the side entry looks, ive been wearing some random red, probably cheap jacket up until now, anyone have any good recommendations on any other ones i should look at, while staying under or close to 60 bucks? i dont need a neoprene one, and the standard entry method is fine.
i know there are topics on this, but im asking if anyone here has used and has any comments on the S1, or strike jackets.

I found mine at Costco. They have some cool ones from HO Sport. got them for the whole family for about $50 bucks each.

I know you're not a fan of the side entry but just thought I'd list another option for ya. I wear a jet pilot flight side entry nylon vest and absolutely love it. It's pretty comfortable, looks pretty good, and is strength tested to 100mph. Best of all, it's $43.99 from a bunch of different vendors. I got mine from parkeryamaha http://www.parkeryamaha.com/jetpilot...ylon-vest.aspx
If there's any local stores around you its always nice to go try some on and see what you like and don't like even if you're not buying there you can try on some nylon, neoprene, side entry, and standard just to get a feel for them. Good luck in your hunt, I couldn't be happier with the flight jacket.

Here is jetpilot's 2010 sizing chart;https://store.jetpilot.com/clients/j...0SizeChart.jpg
They are sized by chest size so you could always measure your chest and decide based on that. I wear large or extra large shirts based on the cut and got the L/XL vest. Weird parkeryamaha doesn't have the black in L/XL, here it is at another store but a few more bucks....http://ad-discountperformance.com/in...343d26d968244c
The sizing is the same for their Flight and S1 jackets
S/M is for chest size 32-40in
L/XL is for chest size 42-50in
The Strike actually comes in medium, large, extra large, instead of the really broad L/XL and S/M sizes. Assuming they follow the flight jacket sizing then you can reference the sizing chart.
Anyways, it's all up to you, the Strike looks like a solid vest too, jetpilot's website says it is 100mph strength tested, notice it doesn't mention a 100mph rating for the S1. If you want a standard entry and safety, I'd go with the Strike, if you want side entry I'd get the Flight.
