I dont know all the technical stuff but I believe a pump relief just bleeds off some of the water at 80MPH plus so you dont overstuff your pump and get bucked off. At that speed it reall hurts I bet.

    Welcome to the forum!

I've put together a listing for you showing the exact mods I would do when building up an RXP-X

Please keep the forum's online store in mind when you go to purchase your parts. Using the greenhulk coupon code will save you 10% off of Riva and R&D parts and the Solas impeller.

I dont know how to post a question and where?
I have 2008 rxpx 255 I just picked it up and I have not owned a ski since the early 90s
The supercharger has just been rebuilt.
    It runs 69mph
My question is riva stage 1 without the nozzle reduction, they won't sell any longer.
Is it going to be bad to buy an 83mm nozzle or should I keep the stock 87mm.
    Because of that stuffing Issue
    Help! and Thanks

Correct me if I'm wrong but can't you go off the kits for the 2009 rxTx and add a pressure relief valve. I still think Jerry is the best man for the advice but that's what I use when I'm lost and am looking for info.

83mm is what you want, you can even find a used Stock doo venturi, cheaper and they are all 83mm from the 215/255 erra

Not ALL 83 mm nozzles will work.....the 2008/2009 RXTX and RXPX uses VTS and the nozzles from non VTS models will not work. Also, with VTS, a wedge is not needed.

What rpm does your ski run at during wide open throttle? For now, stay with the 87 mm nozzle.

Gonna have to disagree with you Bob on this one. My 08 Rxpx the wedge and the extension rod helped my ski go faster.
I should keep this info for future use. It seems like there are alot of questions lately about the 2008-2011 Rxpx platform.
Here is what we used to do to the 2008-2011 Rxpx to make them 76-77 mph skis.

    1. Install a 4" CAI
    2. Remove the FA from the intake manifold
    3. Install a R&D intake grate (This grate is no longer available. The Riva grate for this ski would probably be the next best for speed)
    4. Add the Riva pump wedge and extension rod
    5. Install a 83mm pump nozzle
    6. Install a 15/22 prop. ( you will need to tweek the prop to hit the RPM's at 8200 +/- )

    2008-2011 Rxps's had a 87mm nozzle.
The Rxp's from that era had a 83mm
