Whats the difference between R&D RXP Anti-Cavitation Cone and SpeedFreeks Racing Cone
What's the difference between these two cones? Would these be any benefit to my ski setup?

Different cones entirely.......SF's goes on the impeller, The R&D goes on the pump. You can do both.

I have no experience with the R&D cone, but if you want to run a nose cone on your impeller the Speedfreaks cone is the way to go.

I plan to buy both and install them separately to see if either one is bullshit on the gains.

SpeedFreeks doesn't really claim anything crazy with theirs. I ran it because it never has came off on anybody and is probably as close to no cone as you can get.

Thanks for the replies!
Troy and antonio, after installing the SF cone, did you notice any difference? Sure it's a cheap mod, but I'd rather not waste my time or money on something that doesn't do anything for me.
blkturbo!, I`d love to hear the results!

As far as speed I dont usually do any of that back to back testing stuff,
so I dont know if it added any speed or not.
I was running no cone and I had a little cavitation on hole shot and it seemed like it helped.

I've run my ski with the Solas cone thing and also with no cone at all. I did not do this as a back to back test and wasn't really even looking hard for a difference at the time, so I don't know if there was any difference at all with and without the solas part.
But for a while, I've had my eye on the speedfreaks part since they claim .2-.5 mph gain and it's only 30 bucks. And for $30 that's a great speed gain if it's true!so, after I order several things through green hulk store, I plan to install anything speed related one at a time to see who's full of shit
I don't think I will have these parts tested for 2-4 weeks though

lol, that's quicker than I'll be able to test it out! I have my ski in storage for the winter and I probably won't get it out till May at the earliest! But like you, I feel the need to call BS on some of these promises of speed gains!

The R&D pump cone will make the PX stuff sooner. Atleast thats what it did for me. Any pump mods will require the prop be repitched for max performance. I have run the Solas cone, SF cone, R&D impeller cone never back to back. Couldn't tell you if one is better than the next. I like running a impeller cone, just makes it easier to get the pump back in fast.

A local hardware store will have the oil line tubing and they typically...
Leak Below Oil Tank (not the neck)...
