Jims plate+ wedge?
I don't think I've seen this discussed before but I plan to get one of jims closed loop ride plates which I'm told are shaved on the top edge/mating surface to make it mount so that it causes more lift.
Well, with a plate like that mounted to an 05rxp, would it be overkill to throw on a pump wedge also? Anybody running these together and getting too much lift....too little traction/handling/predictability at top end?
Maybe on an rxp a plate like this is enough and don't have to concern myself with a wedge mod also?

Every setup and preference will be different per riding conditions.
I know some run wedges with moded rideplates including riva plates.

+ 1. To each his own. Some run it with a wedge and some don't. A decent amount of people actually go with the wedge and extension and fill the ride plate holes. It's what I did. I looked at doing both and decided on just the wedge and extension with the plate holes filled. As previously said, To each his own. Good Luck.
