Perhaps the modification is not quite the same result as an actual 2004 ride plate?

Is it possible the ride plate needs to be shimmed (lowered) or shaved (raised) to better match with the nearby hull surfaces?

Is the bottom surface of the ride plate parallel with the plane/axis of the hull bottom in front of the intake tunnel?
I wonder if it has to do with the extra nose weight and the modified 03 plate. I know you are up there in speed though, did you ever put reliefs in? Hopefully that's not a pre-buck bounce?

And i think he is the fastest MSX right now... Besides aquaticassault who is just ironing out some thermostat housing issues. I'm knocking at 80's door with 79.9x.... lol Im hoping some ID1000s will solve my duty cycle issue.

I'm sure that fat battery in the nose doesn't help any but it's tight anywhere else, at least it's serviceable where it is, I nice lithium would remove some weight.
i have one option for a relief but it's solid so far at speed although I must admit to being risk adverse in top speed runs. The porpoising is only at low speed so just an annoyance not dangerous
the ID1000 will solve all your issues with room to spare! I'll leave it up to you to set the top speed record, I just love the mid range pull of this lager wheel.

Success! Finished the Bridge to Bridge this year,
last attempt ended in tears with the sodium valve head in the waterbox.

Had to manage the RPM's did not want to sit at 8800 for the 30 minute duration. Wanted to but finishing was the goal.

Enough swans, sticks and boat wake to keep me busy.

Its no Turbo GPR but was fast enough.

That screen shot is at 52% throttle which was for most of the distance, Seimens ECU so that is the actual throttle opening. I followed an new RXTX300 for a while, poor bugger was GPS limited so I hass to let him go.
A younger me would have just held it flat, older and wiser I'll sneak up on any top speed runs.

Nice to see your success. I am hoping to go to the 137+4 and some 60# injectors soon. i will probably install relief valves to just to be on the safe side. I want to dial it in and leave it until I find a salvage 300 in a few years for a good price.
