2006 Kawi STX 15F Supercharged patent info
Could these be the new 15fSC Kawi is going to release?
The patent info shows a Roots style blower attached to the motor instead of the Vortec unit that was run at the world finals.
Released August 11,2005 so it's a NEW MACHINE!!!

Well that would be awesome because about f'ing time.
Also so far my understanding was that it was going to be in a bigger hull, those pictures show a current STX hull, that would be awesome.

From what I can tell, it looks more like the Paxton or Vortech SC. I didn't see any screw type (Whipple) SC on top of the intake.

Here is the text to read
http://appft1.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-...+Watercraft%22
[0044] A supercharger 41 is connected to a lower portion of the intercooler 40. More specifically, the supercharger 41 is positioned in the vicinity of a lower portion of the air-intake ports 37 of the engine E and above the crankshaft 9 in this embodiment. In this structure, the air flows from the supercharger 41 to the air-intake ports 37 through relatively short air-intake passages. The supercharger 41 is of any of mechanically driven types, including the Roots blower type and Lysholm compressor type. In FIG. 3, the supercharger 41 of the Roots blower type is shown. As shown in FIG. 4, an air-intake box 42 is disposed behind the engine E. The supercharger 41 and the air-intake box 42 communicate with each other through an air-intake duct 43.
[0012] The personal watercraft equipped with the mechanically driven supercharger, such as Roots blower type supercharger or Lysholm compressor type supercharger, can improve operation while ensuring high power output from the engine, since delay in the response to the rider's throttle operation is less likely to occur.

I'd rather see an Autorotor unit, but a Lysholm is a close second. If they can get it to actually hook up out of the hole, it will be amazingly fast. The low end torque of a twin screw is far superior to that of a cent. sc.

I'm no expert on SC's but the Twin Screw is different than the Roots type as is the centrifugal.
The description is of a "roots" type charger. Again, I'm no expert but I've never had my Whipple described as a "roots" type.

I did some checking and this is the quick low down on the SC types.

TWIN SCREW:

CENTRIFUGAL:

I poked around the site and they have some really good information regarding Super Chargers.
