    Superduty,
Thanks for the add info I have the driveshaft removed already.. I was trying to determine the condtion of the carbon ring. I guess it just wears out over time.

Looks like the o-rings are also the sealing parts for this type of setup.

    Superduty:

It talks about a "PTO seal support tool". Didn't realize that you needed this tool only the floating ring removal tool?

It also talks about replacing the o-rings where the driveshaft mates with the engine..........

I thought you just pulled the floating ring with the tool, pull off circlip, pull out driveshaft,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, then reverse the procedure going back in.

Do I need to follow the manual and use a PTO support tool and such?

    Thoughts?

On the last page it says to check engine oil. Refill as necessary.

Pulling out the driveshaft, you lose engine oil?

Should I drain oil first before pulling the driveshaft?

    Jeff,
I read that also before puilling the drive shaft. I did drain the oil out first then pulled the driveshaft out with out using the pto support tool or the floating ring tool and had no problems and no oil came out. As for the orings I ordered new ones @ .30 ea. Just waiting to recieve parts to put back together.
