i see in the dv8 teaser video at 4:09 there is plexyglass over the front storage bucket with holes cut out in it. what is the purpose of this i have seen it on several other skis? and what is the thickness of the glass?

This isolates the air intake from the hot engine compartment.

The biggest thing you need is all the air you can get in the bucket. RXP use the top glove box as a water seperator and cut holes below the trim. GTX or RXP you have to cut the inner lid on both sides and make water seperators to get ebough air. On my RXP it doesnt use the bucket and hurt RPM with 4" hole just feeding the SC, it liked all the hull air you can give it.

so how does air get in the top glove box? did u cut holes in it in the front or somthing? and the holes in the bucket are there for back up if the air cant get in through the top glove box right? and the plexyglass and holes in it are to let the water that does get in to go to the bottom of the bucket?

yes i cut holes in the front of the ski to let air in
and the holes in the bucket are to cool the engine
also the holes in the plexy are to coole the engine comparment
Air flow = cooler engine = more power.
