    what should the compression on them be?

    Can i just get a tester from like advance auto or napa or something like that?

    96 slt 780 fresh water ski

    can you tell me where the adjustment screws are foor the carbs i found the setting specs but dont know what screw is what, my magneto carb seems to be starving for fuel. also the correct settings for the screws if you have them. any help would be greatly appreciated.

    yes you can.. try too getone withashort hose.. a long hose will be fine for general reading but can be off since the hose is longer..

    take out all spark plugs.. make sure battiery is fully charged and putting more then 10.6 volts..

    hold throttle wide open and crank motor.. till gauge stops moving.. and repeat for the rest of the cylinders

    120 on each is good. 100 is weak 85 or 95 is near rebuild time..no more than 5% difference and your fine..

    Do ya'll know what size the spark plugs are on the 700 motor? I just want to make sure the one that i get will fit.

    Check the year and model for correct spark plug number.

    Note: Polaris PWC engines require a resistor type spark plug

    I found out it is a SLTH and has the 700 motor in it. Just curious but how fast will it run?

    One more question. I have read that while you have the spark plug out you have to have it grounded if you are turning the motor over or it will mess something up. So when i am doing a compression test I need to have the plug grounded???
