ave gas milage question
OK I am planing a trip up the lake champlane canal labor day weekend. I just want to know how much gas I am prob going to need. Also how long a tank will last me. Any input would be great.

The other day I got 72 miles out of the tank. Could have probably made another 4 miles but would have run out of gas. Was mostly riding in the 4K-6K range for that tank. Hope that helps. You may want to put a 2 gallon can in the front bucket if needed

I suppose you could, but there is absolutely no benifit to it over a good quality 91 octane. There also might be some additives in AV gas that would not be good (not sure, but I remember hearing something about that).

If your friend tows you remember to pinch off your cooling water intake hose.

Gas mileage always depends on your speed.
What are the disadvantages of running 87 & 89 octane in my '05 RXP instead of 91+?

decreased performance. The motor will be a knocking and the computer will retard timing (less performance) so your motor doesn't explode with the lower octane.
Also AV fuel is usually leaded and full of aditives. I know on cars using AV fuel will kill the o2 sensor and cat. Since I'm new to these beasts I have no idea if they have an o2 sensor to kill.
