This might be a dumb question, but how do you get the ski off the trailer and onto the stand? Do you just pick it up? Seems a bit heavy to do that but I can't figure out any other way...

I line up the bunks on the stand with the trailer and have someone push the front and someone pull the rear of the ski. I find it easier if you keep adjusting the height on the trailer tongue during the process to keep the bunk height on the trailer a little higher then the stand. 4 strokes are heavy spray the trailer bunk with wd40 or they make a product specifically for bunks (forgot what its called) so the ski will slide easier. When I have no one to help me, I pull the ski's off using my quad

I also strap the stand to the trailer so it doesn't move during the process.

I hooked the trailer up to the truck so it wouldn't move or flip, line the stand up behind the trailer, strap the stand to the trailer, and push the ski off the trailer and onto the stand. One person can do it. to get it back on the trailer, use the winch strap and crank it back up on the trailer.

CDW78 did a great job. We'll be making a video on building something vaguely similar in a few months. The only suggestion I have is make sure the bunks are exactly the same height as your trailer bunks. That'll make it a lot easier to get it on and off. Also, get very heavy duty castors. Mine are rated at 2,000 each. It's the third set I bought -the other 2 sets were supposed to be sufficient, but weren't. Also, make sure all 4 castors swivel. Good luck.

How to make jet ski stand

I like my stand lower then my trailer. Makes it easier to work on the ski. And it's not much trouble at all to load and unload on and off the trailer.
