Dude I have been there and done that...... Spent $70 on 600LB casters (US Made) and $40+ on wood and screws...... After few hours of cutting and screwing....... I had one very heavy, ugly (yet strong) stand. You know what I did after that...... Ordered two of these:

Do yourself a favor, unless you can weld, pay a professional. And this is coming from a person who HATES to let anyone do something for them.

cheap ski stand
I made this out of scrape lumber and had the casters. The braces for the walk boards just slide across when i need to work on a ski. Not as nice as prev. post but it has held up for about 10 years now.

I actually was wondering the same thing a few weeks ago - found the plans some where here and went to lowes and they even cut the wood for me ( for free ) Ive got about 50$ into it all.
Here's exactly what I used to make it myself from 2x4's - so far it holds up good with the gp1200 on it.
I used the extra wood to reinforce down the sides ( where the one in the pic has only 3 pieces, mine has 5 ) and used a boat load of screws.
Goto Harbor freight and get your wheels $ 5 bux a piece.
Goodluck!

what size castors and what weight were they? i went to lowes and there were different load bearing sizes and prices....which range from 12 bucks to 5 bucks. I think the 5 dollar ones were rated for 125lbs.

Or..........if you are a redneck like me.....you can put these together really cheap and not one has broken even with an FZR on them. Use two together, front and rear
