thats another good fix you can do IF you catch it early.once the cracks proceed farther down then the hump and into the flatter area you got problems,by the way did you drill holes in the ends of the cracks to terminate them?

    nope drilling done

I poured gorrilla glue all over the place. Is there anywhere in the world I can find a seat or get one made..

Gorilla Glue by itself isn't going to do much. I don't think you're going to be able to find a new seat. Used seats are likely to have the exact same problem. Re-read the thread, and decide how you're going to do a decent repair.

Well, mine looked exactly like the ones in your post, #3.

Yes, I drilled the ends of the cracks. I doubt it's necessary, this isn't 4130 chromoly steel ferchrissakes. But it can't hurt.

As requested, a picture. It fits perfectly:

I just fixed one yesterday with nothing but a plastic welder. It seemed to be strong and we were able to tighten the bolts without it cracking again. Grabbed, pulled and twisted it every which way and it didn't give. We were replacing a seat cover so we removed the original cover, welded the cracks from both sides, installed new stainless locknuts and put it all together. I really think it will hold up, but if it doesn't, it can be easily repaired again.

This is what I used. The seat base is polyethylene.

I had this ugly issue rear its head on me this weekend, what options do i have? I'd like to fix it as the ski runs great, but you can't ride it in any fun fashion with the seat flying off all the time
