Pump Cone Spacer
Will adding the pump cone spacer help out the top end speed a bit? I know the pump will be faster to load after it becomes unhooked, but what about speed?

I think they were only used for 1 or 2 years, so my guess is they weren't much help.
If they worked, I'd think all the pumps would use them after introduction.
But I may be wrong.....

It helps the top end a little, but you lose a little on the takeoff.

spacer
what spacer??well that depends on the pump..if the wear ring spacer is in front of the stator no spacer needed,if you have a pro with the wear ring behind the stator anything up to 4" would be better than stock.on a ski that had the short pump and no wedge and was converted to an extended pump with a wedge you would need the extended pump version tail cone or MAYBE the 5/8" polaris spacer
.i would just aquire the ext tail cone version.

Just to clarify, I was talking about the OEM Polaris spacer that is found on the SLX 780. I think it makes the cone stick out 5/8" more.

wedge
that ski uses a wedge they made that spacer for,the wedge is junk and there for no need for the spacer.

Can you explain why the that wedge is junk? I am running it on my 750. I am looking for more speed and open to suggestions...

slx780
the slx used a SPECIAL wedge.was a twisted design to coax the last bit of mph out of that ski, like 1 mph.problem is it made the ski lift the nose too much for rough water riding and hurt the takeoff.it also made the ski dog leg across the water at slower speeds.the special wedge also required a special water tube to run it.if you got a stock 4 wedge stay with it and no spacer

That fitting provides water pressure to the OPAS. If it has been removed...
Probably a dumb question...
