New Breather install with Pics.
So what do you think? I do not really get oil in the breather I don't think, but I know that the hot venalation gas will not be an issue now.
I will install thumb screws to make removal easier, and I can just pull the filter off and turn it upside down to drain.
The filter came from Auto Zone and cost like $15.
The rest is from Lowes and was another $15 buck or so.

You do it to get the crankase vent out of your air intake. If you ever pull your air tube off your SC and notice oil in there... this will eleminate that.
Also, oil will get in your intercooler and it will become less efficient.

Does it really need the breather vent on the top. Couldn't it just have an open end.
I had the vent clog on me and my rpm's shot to 3500 and I couldn't go faster than 4 mph.

If you notice there is no clamp on the breather, just in case I can pull it off.
I would be leary of having it open but I suppose it could not hurt.

I don't think it's explosive I think it's just floracarbons and filtered for the environment.
I also drilled holes in my catch can so if it fills up to the hose connection it will just flow into the hull and not be swallowed or clog the crankcase.

How much oil are you guys getting in these things?
I suppose I will have to keep an eye on the oil level in the motor and vent?

I got about a beer bottle cap full yesterday after about 2 hours of riding. Don't be looking for a ton of it. Over time it will accumulate.
