Pro785's respond greatly with V-Force Delta Force 2's.. Much better bottom and mid range

Thank you for the quick response and help. Any recommendation on where to get them at a good price and are they better than boyesen pro reeds for the much higher price. Thanks again.
Do you have a pro 785? I love mine other than I have had nothing but problems with this thing. It never runs right for very long even after the motor rebuild. I just can't get it dialed in. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks

Welcome to the Hulk Pro.
V Force are quite pricey indeed. Around $350 a set.
You can also use Carbon Tech reeds with the stock cages. I think they do pretty good for around $150.

Thank again for the info. I don't know why I keep going back to boyesen reeds. Do you not recommend them at all? Can the v force be used with the stock cages as well? Thanks for the info. Want to buy a pro? lol

I've seen you on the forum with some great advise about pro's. Any tuning tips would be greatly appreciated. I just can't get this thing dialed in right. I love the thing when it is running good. Crazy fast! Thanks again for any help.

V-Force 2s are the best. However, they break now and then, depending upon how you ride. In my experience, modified Pro 785s are not easy to get dialed in. But, when you do get it right, WOW! Good luck.

V-Force reeds come with the cage, they consist of 4 sets of reeds, sorta look like 2 V's. Boyesen are normally 2 stage reed petals at lower speed the lighter set opens,at higher speed the heavier set should open. The carbon tech reeds are a single petal. I personally think they are better.
Go here and spend some time reading, you should come away with a better idea how to dial in your ski.

reeds
the carbon techs petals may only come in a low or high tension.a mid tension is a great rec petal, racing durability would be the high tension,v-force are a tension adjustable setup from low to mid tension, and thats why some of the racers break them.i couldn't get the low tension ones to work with my carb pop off pressures and ct doesn't offer a mid version for 1200's.so i'm running heavy or high tension in both of my skis

V Forve and Boyesen RAD Valves use a custom reed cage, that accounts for the higher cost VS. replacement petals.
I only used Boyesen reeds once, and didn't keep them long. They're prob OK, but I've read a few posts about the CT and the guys like them. They are comparable in price to the Boyesen Pro reeds, but are carbon fiber with Boyesen being fiberglass I think.
Sorry, can't help too much on your tuning. What all is done to your ski?
