gp1300 doesn't want to submarine anymore
hey guys - the past few times i took my gp out it doesn't want to seem to submarine...
normally as i'm motoring out of the harbor - with a full tank of fuel - i can simply trim the nose down, apply a little throttle - and bury the ski up to the handlebars...
now - all of a sudden it doesn't seem to want to do it..
any ideas?

First off, the ski was not designed to be submerged. Do you take in water through the cowlings? Has the ski lost power?

i don't do it for 5 hours at a time - come on -
figured out the problem - the lower trim cable came out of the holding place....
its odd though - the wire coming out of the cable - you know - looks like a brake cable on a bike.... the cable has a "memory" - but its like bent down - but you would think the "memory" of the cable would be bent up as that is the direction it wraps up and around the cam...
and no - no loss of power - did 63mph on gps on friday - actually..

Make sure to adjust the cables. They should not have enough play to get loose like that. Cool trick BTW. But just remember the carbs are very low in the hull.
Good Luck

yeah it looks like the lock nuts loosened up on that cable..
the ski is under warranty - i might take it in and let them fix it - and give the ski a good once over....
i bought the ski with 12 hours on it last year - had it checked out when i first got it - its got 60 hours on it now - probably could use a checkup..

yeah , you're talking my language , nose down figure 8s "donuting",does your ski really go down under the handlebars or you just going under your ,own wake?, my trim cable was sticking badly i sprayed under the cover like service manual says problem gone. all do respect water woody a ski was,nt meant do 80+ either , but we do these "crazy things" anyway
