Polaris 2004 MSX 150 Dipstick Insertion Problem
Was running but check engine light would come on after a 30/40 mpr run and would reset when I restarted. Similar issue with another MSX and it was low on oil. Went back to dock, parked, turned off engine, checked oil. There was oil on the dipstick but when I went to re-insert the dipstick to check level can not insert more than about an inch or two.
Ski still tied to dock... Why would a dipstick not go back into oil tank?

Hi MBT,
You have a loose baffle plate! no big deal- you may be able to get it back in place after you check out the pictures on the link. Something you may want to fix one day.
Cheers

Thanks
Thanks for the input. Looks like something I can not fix until it gets out of the water. There were lots of confused people around when I described my problem. Thanks again for the answer.

No problems, you should be able to spin it back around into place with a screw driver or something with a point on it. It will not be more than a few mm out of place.
Cheers
